The church in Boise Idaho warmly
welcomes you. We are believers in the Lord Jesus Christ who have personally
received Him as our Savior. He is the most excellent and enjoyable Person.
We love Him and endeavor to give Him the first place in all things. We
rejoice to be cleansed by the blood of Jesus, God’s Son, born again of
the Father’s divine life, and filled with the Holy Spirit.
We highly treasure the Holy Bible
as God’s revelation of Himself and of His eternal purpose. We hold the
common faith, which is revealed in the Bible and is common to all genuine
believers.
As is true of all believers in Christ,
we are members of His one Body, the church. In order to practice the oneness
of the Body of Christ with all Christians, we meet as the church in the
city (locality) in which we live. The church in Boise has been meeting
on the ground of oneness for over 15 years, and has grown to a number of
around 100 saints. Today, we continue to grow in number, particularly
in the Spanish speaking community, where we currently have around 30 saints
meeting. We attribute the Lord’s blessing to the practice of four
key principles in the Bible, which we were helped to see more clearly through
the ministry of Witness Lee. A Christian living and church life according
to these four principles practically and organically builds up the Body
of Christ:
1. Begetting—to bear fruit (John
15:4-5, 16)
We abide in Christ and
“go forth and bear fruit.” To ‘go forth’ means to go to visit people to
share Christ with them.
2. Nourishing—for the fruit to remain
(John 15:16)
We meet in homes to spiritually
feed and cherish newly saved believers.
3. Perfecting—to equip the believers
(Ephesians 4:12)
We meet in small vital
groups for fellowship, prayer, mutual care, and teaching the truth.
4. Prophesying—to build the church
(I Corinthians 14:4-5, 12, 26)
In our large meetings we
practice prophesying, that is, speaking for Christ and ministering Christ
to one another.
We are thankful to the Lord
for His continued presence and blessing among us. “To Him be the glory
in the church and in Christ Jesus unto all the generations forever and
ever. Amen.” (Ephesians 3:21)
